Today I have an awesome and easy recipe for you! This is one of Zach and my favorite and staple meals. We found this recipe on pinterest and decided to try it out for ourselves! We don’t really follow a specific recipe anymore as we have tweaked it and made the recipe our own. I hope you try this meal out…you will definitely fall in love with it!
1 bag of shredded cheese. You can use whatever kind you like but we prefer the kind above 🙂
1 package of turkey smoked sausage. We only used 1 link in this recipe.
Salt, pepper & garlic salt (optional)
Lastly, you will need vegetable oil or olive oil
Cut the green pepper into small pieces (remove the insides)
Repeat the same process with the onion as you did with the green pepper.
Cut 1 link of smoked sausage in thin slices
Then cut the circles in half or leave them whole (this part is optional). We just like ours cut into smaller pieces!
Peel your potatoes!
Heat up your skillet and put a small amount of oil in the pan
Put potatoes in the skillet and cover them with a lid. You want to let them cook until they are soft.
Once the potatoes are cooked you can add the smoked sausage, onion, and green pepper.
Then season to taste with the salt, pepper, and garlic salt.
Once everything is cooked you want to sprinkle around a 1/4 cup of the shredded cheese on top (don’t mix in) and let it melt.
EAT!! I like to sprinkle a little more shredded cheese on top 🙂
That’s it! What’s great about this recipe is that you can easily adjust it to the size of your family. So, you just add more ingredients to make the recipe serve more.
